Pray for our Nation's Leaders:
 - that God guides the heart
of those elected -

and especially,
that God surrounds those who have been elected
with strong Christian Leaders
who follow the will of God our Father

“I urge then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made
… for kings and all those in authority”
(1 Timothy 2:1-2).

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord”
(Psalm 33:12).

The History
of First Presbyterian Church

of Hinesville, Georgia

This February marks the 63rd anniversary for our Church.
Our charter was granted in February 1955
and our Congregation first began meeting
in the Old Armory building on Highway 84
until our first buildings were constructed
at our present location off Highway 84,
between Court Street and
Washington Avenue (now Memorial Drive).
The First Presbyterian Church of Hinesville
was organized in 1955
under the leadership of Rev. Raymond Nelson
(originally from Flemington).
The church site was deliberately chosen
because it is located in the heart of Hinesville
and would be a visible witness
for Jesus Christ in the community
- with its main objective to be a witness
to children and the military and their families.
We were blessed to have the property donated
by Maria Fraser to the Flemington church
with the desire that it help the church grow God's Love
- and this location allows everyone
to see our church steeple
and be reminded of our Lord
and the promise of Salvation.
